WONG CHING YIAN AND THE MELODIANS - A GO GO AND OFF BEAT CHA CHA

I'm in a mood to re-upload a bunch of records from Wong Ching Yian..... Wong Ching Yian (also known as Huang Qing Yuan) was born in 1946 in Singapore and in the 60's he was one of the most popular singers in Singapore and a lot of other South-East Asian countries. Together with Maurice Patton and The Melodians he developed a style of music they called Off Beat Cha Cha and A Go Go, mixing traditional Chinese music with Western Rock n Roll and it set a huge part of South East Asia on fire, from Singapore to Cambodia, Malaysia etc., everywhere bands started to record A Go Go and Off Beat Cha Cha records.... In 1966 they scored a huge hit with their song Man Li which was off this ep..... GET IT HERE Enjoy!
