I have been to Taiwan. At night, there were many bootleg stalls, selling cassettes at less than a third of the price during the day. According to Discog Usually appears as Hua Sheng Record or 華聲唱片. Label from Taiwan of doubtful legality. The label, besides regular Chinese releases, catered to US soldiers stationed in Taiwan in the 60's and 70s. Covers were often photocopied from Japanese or US issues with altered colors. Many releases are on colored vinyl. Cat. #'s beginning with "KHS" are later "Hua Sheng" Cat. #'s beginning with "HS" are earlier "Hua Sun Records" Some LP's may have "Haw Sound" logo on LP - These should be filed under the "Hua Sheng" page as well.
I'm always looking for those Taiwanese bootlegs but you don't find them often here, some are quite funny with terrible English. I have records from the Beatles, Stones, Led Zeppelin, Steely Dan, Johnny Cash etc.
When I was in high school, there was a second-hand shop closest to my house, and they had piles of Happy Trail by Quicksilver Messenger Service,I still remember that scene when I think of Taiwanese vinyl. yoshio

I have one of those pirated LP's on yellow vinyl of The Platters. I still treasure it.
