Yan He Ting (1946-present) is a veteran Taiwanese female singer, known as the ‘Queen of Artistic Singing’. She used to be a singer in the Taiwan Television Corporation's ‘Group Star Club’, and participated in the Club for the first time at the age of seventeen. She has recorded several best-selling albums. At the peak of her singing career, her vocal cords were overused, resulting in keratinisation of the head of the vocal cords, which made her unable to sing high notes, and she sadly retired from singing. She was later encouraged by Pak Kwong and Wah Yee Poh to switch to bass singing. She has been in hiding for more than 20 years, but in 2011, she made a comeback with her bass voice in ‘50 Years of Singing with the Stars’. From https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-JGeub_Ryk
