Well, I went to see the old Chinese couple today. They often have Chinese vinyl for sell but not much luck this time around. They did have a bunch of Japanese albums though and I got quite a few of those.... Was hoping that this one would be one of those beat/surf rock albums I always read about when it comes to Yukio Hashi but alas, it isn't, pop tunes with the Victory Orchestra and Sayuri Yoshinaga turns up for one song too (the 7th song).... This came out in 1965... He's still around, Yukio Hashi....

In his school days, he was a bad boy and was passionate about boxing, and was even advised to take a professional test, which prompted his worried mother to send him to Minoru Endo's singing school, which led him to enter the world of singing.
On 5 July 1960, she made her debut[4] on Victor Records (now Victor Entertainment [2nd generation]), the music record division of Victor Company of Japan (now JVC Kenwood), with ‘Ushiorikasa’, and won the Newcomer Award at the 2nd Japan Record Award with this song, and also made her first appearance at the 11th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen [Note 1][5]. She appeared in the Kohaku Uta Gassen 17 consecutive times from the 11th to the 27th in 1976, for a total of 19 appearances. After ‘Ushirogasa’, he released a number of ‘kokutabi mono’ songs, including ‘Kutsumigake Tokijiro’, ‘Nakayama Shichisato’ and ‘Saku no Koitaro’.
