GLORIA BERSAMA FRANS & SANDRA

Here's a cassette from Frans Daromes and Sandra Sanger singing religious songs and this cassette, or at least the cover, to me as a Dutch city boy, is really funny. Frans and Sandra all decked out in traditional Dutch clothing complete with the wooden shoes :) Might be they still wear that stuff in some far away agrarian areas in some Dutch corners but as far as I know, nowadays, that type of clothing is only worn by tourists for pictures in the city called Volendam. When I was around 11 or 12 years old me and my brother worked at a farm for a while, a farmer who had grazing lands for his cows and sheep where my grandmother, who was a real sweetheart, had her old farm house. She had chickens, rabbits, goats and we used to love going there. I remember showing up at that farmers place with my brother for the first time and my grandmother had bought us those old Dutch farm clothes with the wooden shoes and everything and when we arrived there the farmer and his whole family were on the ground laughing, they didn't wear none of that, they wore overalls... I remember mt first job was to pick up the dead body of a baby sheep with it's eyes picked out by birds and I remember how heavy it was. Nobody in Holland works as hard as those farmers do, they get up at 4 every morning and grind all day long. Saw sheep being born, horses and cows being born, saw a special bull being brought in to impregnate some cows which was quite the spectacle and I learned how to drive a tractor. Most of the fun we had there had to do with jumping off huge haystacks.... My grandmother's old farm house, all those grazing lands are all long gone, it's all houses, houses and more houses there now.... Anyway, Frans and Sandra, for your pleasure.... GET IT HERE Enjoy!
