Who she is Originally from Zhejiang Province and a graduate of Yuda Commercial College, Xia Tai Feng won first place in a singing contest organised by Taiwan Television (TTV) in 1967 and joined TTV as a basic singer. She performed in the Group Star Club and sang behind the scenes for Carrie Paik in the 1970 NTTV Chinese New Year special, and also starred in dozens of films for Taiwan Provincial Film Studio and Independent Productions, and was quite popular for her hosting, filming, television, and singing roles. [In 1972, Xia Tai Feng's performance in The Phantom of the Opera won the Best Supporting Actress Award at the Golden Horse Awards and the Most Promising Newcomer Award at the Asia-Pacific Film Festival.
In 1974, she married singer Zou Sen (real name Zou Zhongli) and had a son, Zou Shaoguan; Xia and Zou Sen divorced in 1987. Xia then travelled to the United States and met scholar He Pingnan, whom she remarried in 1989; they moved to Shanghai in 2004 and started a wine business. In 2005, she appeared in the TV series True Love's Million Dollar Bride, where she was portrayed as an aristocratic, evil mother-in-law, and in 2009, she appeared in the reality TV show Dance Off, where she performed well and gained a number of opportunities to perform in mainland China.
