This is the music of 大正琴 Taishogoto
This instrument has fallen into disuse in Japan, but it is popular in India and has undergone an extraordinary evolution. It has retained almost no original form.

  2. Mr.Yoshioka
Trained in Taisho (Goto)harp while running a seal shop. Later succeeded his father as the first Iemoto of the Kinsho School and became the second Iemoto. Leaving the seal business, he concentrated on his Iemoto business and devoted himself to the promotion of the Taisho Goto.

    Taisho Goto
Invented in 1912 by Goro Morita (real name Jinzaburo Kawaguchi), the eldest son of the Moritaya Hotel in Osu, Nagoya, based on the two-stringed harp and inspired by the typewriter keys. The arrangement of the keys is similar to that of a piano keyboard. The range at the time of invention was two octaves. Metal strings were used from the time of its invention, but the traditional Japanese koto strings were made of silk, so the tone was different from that of the traditional Japanese koto. The keyboard also made it relatively easy to play, with even beginners being able to accurately produce the pitch of the notes. For this reason, it became popular as a household instrument in Japan during the Taisho era (1912-1926).

In Morita's birthplace, Osu Kannon in Osu, Nagoya, a stone monument has been erected in the precincts of the Osu Kannon, the birthplace of the Taisho Goto .
