  1. You've pulled off a tough one.
I never thought the day would come when I would have to introduce this to a foreigner, I am now confused!

    Keep this in mind first.

Kozure Okami (子連れ狼) is a Japanese historical manga (gekiga) written by Kazuo Koike and illustrated by Tsuyoshi Kojima, serialised in Manga Action (Futabasha) from September 1970 to April 1976.

    Overview.
A tale of wandering and revenge, featuring former official meddler Hai Itto and his son Daigoro, a master of the Suio style of swordsmanship who carries the Dotaikan, who loses his wife's life and his job at the hands of the Yagyu clan led by Retsudo.

Both the original author and the artist steadfastly established themselves as writers with this work. Many film versions were subsequently produced, including a film version starring Tomisaburo Wakayama and a TV drama version starring Kinnosuke Manya.

In 1987, it became the first Japanese manga to be exported to North America, where it was published in English as Lone Wolf and Cub by Dark Horse Comics and is highly regarded as a representative Japanese manga (the cover art is by Frank Miller, a big fan of Wolf with Children). As of October 2006, the manga had sold 8.3 million copies in Japan and 11.8 million copies worldwide.

In my personal opinion, I hated TV dramas, cartoons and films.

  2. I watched this series of motion picture films officially released to the world. They were broadcast over TCM TV channel here in the good ol' USA, a year or two ago. Very entertaining, fantastically filmed.
