Amy Ying Sau Yee (English: Amy Ying Sau Yee, 1953-) is a Hong Kong female singer who was active in the pop music industry from the 1960s to the early 1980s, and was known as the ‘Queen of the Longest Flowing Songs’. Since the 1990s, she has mainly sung Cantonese opera.

    Biography
In the 1960s, YAN Sau-yee mainly sang Mandarin period songs in Hong Kong, with hits such as ‘Water Flows Forever’ and English pop songs, Japanese pop songs, Cantonese operas, and Yueju Opera. In the 1970s, when the Mandarin period songs were in decline, she dabbled in Cantonese pop songs and mainly sang covers of them, with hits such as ‘Separation of the Flying Swallows’ (sung by both singers of the original song). (sung with Chan Ho Tak, both original singers of this song, originally titled ‘Don't Get Tired of Telling Words’), ‘Hong Kong's Pretty Girls’(sung with Cherry Blossom), ‘Ask Brother If You Want to’, and ‘Tonight's a Wonderful Night’. She mostly sang in nightclubs.

In the mid-1970s, she became an artiste of Lai's Television while still performing in nightclubs. However, from about 1975she actually lived mainly in Canada (a report in 1974 stated that she visited Canada, so she had not yet settled there), and by the mid-1980s it was still recorded that she did not live permanently in Hong Kong.

She began to fade out in the 1980sand married erhu player Yim Kwun-fat, after which they devoted themselves to the development of Cantonese opera One of Yim's children with his ex-wife Ng Ka-man is pop music composer and arranger Johnny Yim . Both Yim and Ng have stated that they are solely responsible for raising their children, with Yim stating that Yim has ensured that her children have been sent to Canada to study .
