MAMAH DASIMAH, DIDIN BAJURI & SASAKA DOMAS GROUP - ANJEUN II

So, yesterday Ibu Mamah Dasimah visited me, here at my place, and we had a great time talking about Sundanese traditional music. She was, and still is, at age 73, one of the great degung and Tembang Sunda Cianjuran singers, her glory days were back in the 80's when she was putting out a lot of cassettes, some 30 of them in total and she's trying to find them all . Not the physical copies perse, but the data, scans of the covers etc. so I promised her that I would get her copies and scans of everything I have from her and bring it to her house soon as I have everything....

Here's a lovely degung cassette from her with her husband, Didin Bajuri, who, sadly, passed away a few years ago, with the Sasaka Domas Group.... GET IT HERE Enjoy!

NANO S. & VARIOUS ARTISTS - SUNGKEMAN ATI

Here's a very cool Tembang Sunda cassette, it was made to commemorate the 1998 wedding of Nano S’ daughter Rena and it features some of THE best Tembang singers and musicians of the 80's and 90's, it was never properly released but only given to guests at the wedding... Featuring Euis Komariah, Eka Gandara, R. Didin S. Badjuri, Teti Affienti, Rika Rafika, Dede Suparman, Ade Ahmad Suandi and Nunung Sobari.... (And many thanks to my buddy Andrew Weintraub for helping me out finding more info about this cassette, thanks Andrew!!!) GET IT HERE enjoy!
