I'm really getting into Asmidar Darwis.... I wasn't really aware of her until I posted a cassette from her last week and I'm loving this Melayu Deli cassette from her with Zul Darwis (who, as far as I've been able to find out was a family member, maybe her brother, not sure yet) and the De Maricy Group.... Might have some more from her, but I'll be hunting for more of her music for sure.... Of course there's also the records and cassettes on this blog from Ahmad Baqi and his El Surayya Orchestra, she was one of the singers in that Orchestra.... GET IT HERE Enjoy!
