JAIPONG PROMOTION VCD'S

There are many, many jaipongan groups here in West-Java. A wedding, a circumcision party or any other party is just not complete without them. There are many such parties where I live, outside Bandung in a small village and whenever I hear jaipong I quickly go there to enjoy the music, you're always welcome, often they will give you a plate of food, a drink, I just love kampung life:)

A lot of these jaipong groups put out promotion vcd's, filmed on location at some party and they are being sold dirt-cheap, between 25 to 60 dollar cents a piece, for that price you can't expect good quality and often you come home with say 10 of these vcd's and about 5 or 6 will work. But you find some lovely music on there, often very, very different from the stuff I've been posting here, often the music and the singing is way more raw and hard, sometimes the sound quality isn't all that good but this is what jaipongan really is when you go into the kampungs where the dancing can be wild and the people know how to party hard.....
