HOMICIDE - THA NEKROPHONE DAYZ

Here's Homicide's 2006 album Tha Nekrophone Dayz. This album got 4 stars in The Rolling Stone Magazine (Asian edition) and lots of publicity and it is a great, great album. Hard beats, deep, critical, political lyrics and even though they disbanded in 2007 they still have a large following here in Bandung and the rest of Indonesia, not just in the hip hop scene but in the punk/hardcore scene also. They're all good friends of mine and most of the members are still very active with bands like Eyefeelsix and Trigger Mortis.... They put out a few albums and I'll give them all too you starting with this one....

  1. I downloaded this back in March and am just now giving it a listen and ... Holy Fucking Shit. It's one of the most insanely great hip-hop records I've ever heard. Thank you so much for this!

    1. You're welcome Gary:) You've got no idea how much risks these guys were taking at the time, such a political, critical album in a country like Indonesia, plenty of death threats and shit like that.... Morgue Vanguard, the frontman, is busy with another project these days, Trigger Mortis and he's also doing something with one of the guys from Dalek, been meaning to catch up with him but too busy with my hotel right now, we mail often he said he's got lots of stuff to tell me.... He's also the guy who designed the cover for my own album 18 Slingshot's.... There's more from them on this blog, Homicide, and it's all good!
