Beautiful album from O.P. Nayyar, there are some real gems on this one, with Mohd. Rafi, Asha Bhosle and Mahendra Kapoor singing. This one came out in 1968, the story is about a disgraced Indian air force officer impersonating a look-alike Chinese spy which explains why there are some Chinese elements to the music sometimes....
OP Nayyar was a god among men. This is from relatively late in his career; although he lived until 2007, I don't think he composed for more than a dozen films after 1968.
He's one of only a handful of music directors who never worked with Lata Mangeshkar (the other famous one was SD Burman, RD's father); I think the two insulted each other very early on in the 50s or late 40s--I can't remember the story now.
