Nice jaipong cassette from Cucun Cunayah with Dally Sarpingi playing the kendang.... Unfortunately some songs are missing from this tape. looks like somebody recorded silence over it....
I love Cucun Cunayah since some years. I discovered by you, and it was a great discover for me. But it's very difficult to find on the net some informations. Do you you when was it recorded? Or do you know some site where i could find some informations? it was around the 70's? It has some importance for me cause i'm making a personal point of view of the history of music.

Cause it was always easy to hear anglo american music but the whole world was very creative too and for me (like for you) it's important to let discover this whole richness.
Thank you if you know where i can search. And like always congratulations for your music archeology!!!! It serve a lot to preserve the culture!!!
Hey there! Well, all I can tell you is that it's all from the late 70's and 80's, she's another totally forgotten artist like so many others.... There's a lot of crate digging going on, there's a lot of performances here but there is just no effort here when it comes to conservation... Basically the reason why I'm doing this blog, always thinking about ways to do it in a better way.... Yeah man, Cucun Cunaya.... she really is among my favorite singers, always looking for more from her but it's almost impossible to find and that goes for all traditional music cassettes now....
Thank you Henk for your message 3 years after, haha. I'm sorry, cause i have no notification when you answer me, and your blog is a real infinte labyrynth where i love to loose in, haha! Thank you very much.
Heh :) When I'm re-uploading stuff, dead links, I often come upon messages that I've never seen before, so I guess the comment section doesn't work a 100% :)
