Here's an album from Lilis Suryani with Orkes Melayu Pancaran Muda, bit of damage here and there, hopefully one day I'll find a better copy, thing is, Lilis Suryani albums are EXTREMELY rare so it might be years before I find a better copy....

ReplyDeleteYou said her records are rare. Is she an obscure artist over there? I think she's as good as Emilia Contessa and Titiek Puspa. Aside from that, I think I'm in love with her.
One of the top artists in her time, which is why it's so hard to find, well, EVERYTHING is hard to now really.... Remember, only the elite could afford records so they came out in pretty small numbers, music for the masses, recorded music thatg is, only started when cassettes started coming out in th early 70's....
