REST IN PEACE CEES "IJZERMANS" MEURS

Just got the news, we've lost another great one from the old Rotterdam punk scene, the great Cees "IJzermans" Meurs.... I've seen him perform many, many times, with old Rotterdam punk bands like Kotx and later with the fantastic band Kiem where he was playing on a drumkit mostly made from old ship parts. He was an amazing drummer, I particularly remember an insane performance from him together with Dutch jazz drummer Han Bennink in the old cafe B-14 in Rotterdam around 1983 or so....

My thoughts go to his wife Ineke and his kids, Rest In Peace Cees, and thank you for all the great music and concerts!!!
