Here's a tarling cassette from H. Abdul Adjib with Uun Kurniasih and friends with the Tarling Putra Sangkala Group. Making music, laughing, joking, singing. They seem to love this stuff in Cirebon, I still have stacks and stacks of un-posted stuff like this, often they tell long stories, and often these cassettes come in series of 3, 4 cassettes devoted to one story....

Amazing music! Would love to hear more of these. I haven't encountered this kind of narrative tarling before; even if one doesn't understand the story, the music is still great throughout (which is nice compared to the wayang where one is left with really long chunks of just story telling and joking with very little musical accompaniment). Thank you!!
