  1. This is great. There's even a bit of Chuck Jones in there too. I'm loving it.

  4. Yes great one! Paul Mark is sort of an unsung hero of exotica - probably because he only recorded japanese-inspired material and never any of the exotica-standards... which of course is only a good thing.
-Love all your eclectic and unique shares - always, but right now I'n in a Exotica-mode so I'm thrilled to hear your Re-doing some more of that.

    1. I never heard Paul Mark's work until this post. I can't stop listening to it. I'm listening to it now. My knowledge of Exotica is limited, yes, but I think for me at least, he's the best of the best of the best. I'm just blown away by it. What a cool kind of music!!!

    2. Yes indeed! Try and locate "East To West" & "12½ Half Geishas Must Be Right" (maybe they'll show up here) as well -and if you just enjoy a japanese take on exotica in general, Bob Kojima and his Orchestra - Moshi-Moshi is lovely (plus Tak Shindo, but he's often a bit too "brassy" for my tastes)

(I was wrong about Paul Mark sticking exclusively to japanese material, as Paul and his orchestra backs Marlene Sai on "Magic Moods Of Waikiki"...)

  5. Shit, I wish I had those, it's VERY rare that I find any kind of exotica here in Bandung, Imma write those titles down anyway, you never know, thanks :)
