Great gambus album from Rofiqoh Dharto Wahab with Orkes Gambus Al Fata.... If I'm not mistaken this is her very first album, recorded in 1966. Rofiqoh Dharto Wahab was born in 1945 in Keranji, Kedungwuni, Pekalongan. Her father, K. H. Munawwir had an Islamic boarding school in Pekalongan and her mother Hj. Munadzorah comes from the family of the Buntet Islamic Boarding School, Cirebon. She got married with journalist and lawyer Darto Wahab... After winning competitions for Qu'ran recitals and singing qasidah she started recording records and she became the very first big female qasidah/gambus artist in Indonesia....
