ERHU SOLO CHINESE MUSIC (CLASSICS) SHEPHERD - QIN KOU - SANMENXIA
Well, our friend from Japan, Yoshio, said this (in the comments) about this record:
This Label is very important.
二胡獨奏集 國樂(古樂)牧人 泰腔 三門峡
Erhu Solo Chinese Music(Classics) Shepherd・Qin Kou・Sanmenxia
Qin Kou:Chinese regional theatre. The name is derived from the fact that it originated in Shaanxi Province and became popular throughout the region, and from the fact that it was sung while beating the beat on a wooden banjo made from dates. The name was derived from the fact that the singers sang while beating the beat with a wooden stick made of jujubes.
Sanmenxia is a prefecture-level city in the west of Henan Province, China. The westernmost prefecture-level city in Henan, Sanmenxia borders Luoyang to the east, Nanyang to the southeast, Shaanxi Province to the west and Shanxi Province to the north. Wikipedia
Label:女王唱片 Queen Records was established in 1948 and flourished between 1950 and 1970. Queen Records mainly introduced classical music from mainland China, bringing an abundance of musical information to Taiwan during the period of martial law and building a bridge of sound. This thesis uses relevant historical and political cases as well as fieldwork to fully document the impact of Queen's Records on Taiwan at that time, to describe how music students learnt through Queen's Records, and to write about the legend of Queen's Records; furthermore, with the advancement of technology and the advent of the digital age, the process of digitising Queen's Records was documented by Wang MingXi, so that they were no longer restricted by playback devices. The digitalisation of Queen's records by Wang MingXi is no longer limited by playback devices, but can be accessed via the Internet, allowing cultural relics to enter a generation that is not limited by space and time, and allowing future generations to enjoy the sounds of the times. Thanks Yoshio!
