The word 'Oiwake 追分' means a place where a road splits into two.

The meaning of the lyric 〃Oiwake 追分〃...
The apple petals in my hometown were scattered by the impermanent rain
Around that time, her mother in Tokyo died(seeYoutube).

The petals and her mother, these two things overlap, and for a girl of her happy age
I thought that these two overlapped and became a sad sentiment for a girl at a joyful age,
which led to the word 〃Oiwake 追分〃.

    Song from Opera
Say You Love Her(Flowers as a Matchmaker) is a comedy, a classic play of Chinese opera. The title of the play 花為媒 means "Flowers as Matchmaker" and is adapted from Liaozhai Zhiyi - Parasites. The style is humorous and the lyrics are beautiful. Several climaxes or famous singing sections are: reporting the name of the flower, sighing by the diamond flower, and making trouble in the bridal chamber.
