Suyoso Karsono was also singing with The Hawaiian Seniors, Karsono Bersaudara, lots of jazz music with people like Nick Mamahit, Mus Mualim, Titiek Puspa, Bing Slamet, Lilis Suryani and many, many others... He was also the owner of the Irama Record music company, which was famous in the 60s. His name cannot be separated from the development of Jazz music in Indonesia. Mas Yos was the older brother of Nien Lesmana, wife of Jack Lesmana, the parents of Mira and Indra Lesmana..... GET IT HERE Enjoy!

So yeah, came home quite late, hanging out with an old friend tonight so I wasn't going to post anything today anymore and then I saw that Titiek Puspa passed away today, one of the great ones... She was 87, from what I understand she died after a fall, from a ruptured bloodvessel.... So... Rest In Peace Titiek Puspa, or as we say here: Innalilahi wainnailahi rojiun..... IDRIS SARDI - DJAUH DI MATA

Amazing album from Idris Sardi, he was 23 years of age when he did this, he played the violin and arranged 9 of the 12 songs himself, two songs together with Bing Slamet (Es Lilin and Djauh Dimata) and one song together with Mus Mualim (Sue Ora Djamu), an orchestra of some 40 musicians and a choir of 8 singers. Reminds me a lot of the magical krontjong albums from Brigadier General Rudy Pirngadi this, he also was using huge orchestra's and a choir... Really, what a great album this.... GET IT HERE Enjoy!
