Here's a dangdut cassette from Orkes Melayu Bob Geldop and yes, they mean Bob Geldof and I think this might have something to do with when he called out Suharto back in the 80's about not sending rice to parts of Afrika during a huge famine when he was involved with the whole Live Aid festival. Not everybody was amused here in Indonesia back then..... Well, at least that's what I think....
I actually got a comment from somebody about Bob Geldof and Indonesia (thanks David!!!) and it goes like this:
"I think Geldof's infamy in Indonesia was that he demanded that Suharto crack down on the bootlegs of Live Aid tapes... for whatever reason, Suharto decided to listen and crushed the underground cassette labels, and overnight you couldn't get any music until the Internet came in."
