:) Thing is, I'm already often posting stuff that's "risky", a lot of the jazz records I post for example and a lot of other stuff, you start posting The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Stones etc well, then it won't be long till the copyrights Nazis will step in and then it's bye bye blog :) To tell the truth, I'm kinda surprised it hasn't happened yet actually, there's loads and loads of re-releases coming out from old Indonesian records and almost all of them SUCK because in most cases the original reels aren't there anymore so they just make recordings from records, tapes, and the sound of most of them is just awful, not to mention they're crazy expensive, mostly going for 40, 50 dollars and more, a lot of them are just vanity projects from local rich kids and the "copy rights holders" are making crazy cash and laughing all the way to the bank... Oh,..... the irony.... you couldn't give most of these records, the original records, away 15 years ago.....
You have a valid point. I wouldn't want to see the corporate cpywrt pol-lice screwing things up around here. Every once in a while I'll come across one of these grey-market knock offs, kinda cool and very much in the packaging style of what get posted here. We could always send you our email addresses and you of send links to cleverly titled files like ThBtlsSgtPpprLnyhrts, etc., but I imagine you're way too busy with the huge volume you're already posting. In any case, thanks for the covers to drool over and dream about. Man, that does sound like untouchable girlfriend! You can't always get what U want, but we get more than what we need from all your good work.
Yesterday night, all of a sudden I really had a mood for the Talking Heads, got out all my records that I still have from them, but those are the kind of records that I wouldn't share here and I have plenty of stuff like that, also stuff that has been re-released recently where you just know there will be trouble if you post it, like Tuxedomoon....
...and those are the sort of things I'll stumble across eventually anyway. Most of what you post I wouldn't have a snowball's chance to come across 'cept for here.
