  1. Hey, HENK! I don't know how in the world you could post SO many of these vinyl classics by this one single artist, there must be well over a hundred. I'm exhausted just trying to keep up with you... Thanx a lot, he is great and the bands he had backing him were always top notch.

  2. Yeah :) Well... To go back in time a bit, I forget how long, 10 years maybe, 12 years, or something like that, maybe even a bit longer, I was still fully on with the buying Indonesian records and then a young Indonesian guy from Bandung, from an ultra-rich family started buying records, and when I say buying records I mean BUYING records, he would go to every place and just buy up EVERYTHING, it was a disaster really, none of us collectors could buy anything anymore, sellers didn't want to sell to anybody anymore because that guy would pay any price they would ask, that bastard really destroyed the market here, prices went up like crazy and he was soon working together with other ultra-rich kids from Jakarta, also buying up everything, and it was all about profit because they would sell everything on line for crazy prices....

Anyway, no Indonesian records to buy anymore, only sometimes if you were lucky so I started looking at all these Chinese records that you saw everywhere, loads and loads of them, nobody wanted them, nobody was buying them, locals thought of them as garbage and I bought a few and I was blown away, especially by Wong Ching Yian, Yao Su Rong, a lot of that 60's garage stuff so I started buying them and buying them, and they were dirt cheap....

It's all different now... A few years ago the sellers started to realize that folks from Singapore and Malaysia would pay good money for them and now, most of them go to the sellers in Jakarta where the buyers from Singapore and Malaysia go, it's hard to find them now....

Indonesian records are almost impossible to find now, like I said, sometimes I get lucky, it's all about coming to the right spot at the right moment, a seller gets a box with records, they're gone in no time at all, same with cassettes, especially the traditional stuff, super super hard to find now....
