I think same band.It don't means much.Same Producer , same kind of direction.They pick up famous Japanese hits , gather studio musician and cut it .It's routine work. But arrangement and mix is far beyound Hot Rats.It's Yellow Magic! The truth is not known. For themselves probably have no idea that half a century has passed and they are still talking about it. My Opinion they are a Singaporean band. It was probably also released in Hong Kong and Taiwan.As a Japanese, I was also surprised that Japanese songs were heard and played all over Asia!

yoshio: Life Records were from Malaysia Oscar Young has many records released in Malaysia Singapore and Hong Kong. As a fellow Southeast Asian yes Japanese music is very famous here in the Singapore and Malaysia. I have many records of Japanese music pressed locally but were written in Chinese.
