Elly Nieman and Rikkert Zuiderveld, better known as Elly and Rikkert were a Dutch stoner hippie couple. They were introduced to each othet at a party somewhere in the late 60's by the father of an old friend of mine, Dutch film maker Job Pannekoek... They came out with this album in 1971 with their buddy Hans (Appie) Sleijpen, and it's a great, total DIY album and there's one song on it that became a huge hit in Holland, ""De Kaugomballenboom" (The chewinggumballtree)... In 1976 they became devote Christians, they're still together, still active and they released tons of albums, mostly Christian songs and songs for kids and tons of books for kids....
