Chaseiro was a vocal group from Jakarta, the name Chaseiro is an abbreviation of the first names of its members, among others, Candra Darusman (vocal, keyboard), Helmi Indrakesuma (vocal), Aswin Sastrowardoyo (vocal, guitar), Edwin Hudioro (flute), Irwan B. Indrakesuma (vocal), Rizali Indrakesuma (vocals, bass), Omen Norman Sonisontani (vocals).
The Chaseiro members are a combination of students from the University of Indonesia from the faculties of Medicine, Economics and Social Sciences. After taking part in and producing 4 albums, in 1985 Chaseiro practically rarely appeared on the Indonesian music scene. This is because they generally have graduated from college and continue their careers in different fields. Only in 2001 did the idea to return to music together and publish a CD / cassette album entitled "Offering"....
From time to time, Chaseiro continued to work, both on stage and in the recording studio, they put out an album called "Retro" (2011) and "Retro 2 (2014). During the period of 2011-2012, Chaseiro lost a supporting player when Uce Hariono (Drums) passed away and Ade Hamzah (bass / arranger) passed away in early 2013, Chaseiro lost one of the main personnel, when Helmie Indrakesuma passed away in 2013.....
