  1. It's odd, because they're so different, but something about this absolutely wonderful recordings remind me of Joni Mitchell at her very, very best, in her Jazz incarnation.

    I will treasure this record for the rest of my days, thank you very much. It is just that good. What a find!!!

    1. It's really just three albums she made that I'm speaking of, because she has all these various incarnations. You listen to these three albums, and it suddenly occurs to you they might be the best three albums ever made. I'm speaking of "Mingus," "Hissing of Summer Laws," and "Don Juan's Reckless Daughter." All three feature Jocko Pastorius from Weather Report. And one of them has Charles Mingus. You might want to spend an evening with those three albums one day, and however it goes, you won't be sorry.
