She is a Hong Kong female singer. Born in Wuchang, Hubei Province, she won the ‘Hong Kong Warbler Singing Contest’ in 1965 and started her singing career with a low magnetic voice. 1972 to 1980, she was selected as one of the Overseas Chinese Evening Post's Top Ten Singers in the Golden Camel Awards for eight times, and was awarded the Grand Prize at the Top Ten Golden Songs Award Presentation Ceremony in 1984, and was awarded the Hong Kong Music Industry's highest honour, the Golden Camel Award in 1989. In 1989, he was awarded the Golden Needle Award, the highest honour in the Hong Kong music industry. In 1992, he held 43 concerts at the Hong Kong Coliseum in Hung Hom, which still holds the record for the most consecutive concerts held at the Coliseum.
