Well, I've still have all these old vcd's lying around, they used to sell loads of these in certain places all over West Java but nowadays you won't find them anymore.... Usually made with the cheapest quality cd's, often they wouldn't work at all and usually they don't last long. Basically these were put out by the various jaipong groups as a way of promoting themselves and usually you'll see their contact information appearing on the screen. I want to slowly look which ones are still working and convert them (mpegav to mp4, quite a bit of work) and post them on my youtube channel. Most of them are between 15 to 10 years old and it would be a waste if they would get lost I think.... Starting with a few songs from the Wawan Group from the beautiful city of Subang, not far from where I live....

You really got to be there and go through it to really appreciate it, some of the performances get WILD with an energy that's just not possible to explain really. A few months ago there was a jaipong performance right in front of our house, just amazing, I danced my socks off, the only foreigner there and the people loved it, everybody wanted to dance with me, including the dancers from the group :)
