Thanks Henk, Always good to get another Lyman. I have this in another pressing from Everest Productions titled "ILIKAI" Different track order. Here are the cover notes -
"Many exciting new sounds have invaded the music industry during the past decade but none of these have maintained the popularity of the exotic sounds of Arthur Lyman. Here, once again, is displayed the outstanding versatility of the Arthur Lyman group and their exotic instrumental arrangements. His adaptations of various types of musical compositions. Hawaiian, jazz, folk, Broadway songs and the classics, etc., have never been duplicated though many times copied. This has resulted in a great demand for this popular group. They have recently signed a long term agreement to play several months each year in the new Canoe House, at the llikai Hotel on Hawaii's Waikiki Beach.
In this album, the group pays tribute to the late Hawaiian composer, Kui Lee, in performing two of his recent melodies, "AIN'T NO BIG THING" and "LAHAINA LUNA"; and to the old master, Claude DeBussy, with their version of the hauntingly beautiful "CLAIR DE LUNE" Motion Pictures are represented in the exotic sounds of "BORN FREE" and "LA BOMBA". "UPON A LONELY BEACH" is a new tune from the pen of Jack Pittman, composer of the all time favorite "BEYOND THE REEF" — "TINY BUBBLES" in Hawaii's newest contribution to the hit parade. A bit of nostalgia from the city of the Golden Gate "I LEFT MY HEART IN SAN FRANCISCO" a Hawaiian standard "SHELLS" and the recent pop favorite, THE WORK SONG." Lastly Arthur's salute to his new home "ILIKAI". The Surface of the Sea, and on the surface Hawaii"
